Calling all faculty, staff, and graduate students to help improve the UMass campus climate for students with disabilities! YOU can make a difference!

The Center for Student Success Research invites you to participate in 4 Conversations with Experts about students with disabilities and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) on Wednesday mornings this Spring through a Campus Climate Improvement Grant.

Do you realize that course design can make a positive difference in the classroom and co-curricular experiences of students with disabilities? Wondering how to shift away from relying on individual accommodation letters to more inclusive approaches? Universal Design for Learning (UDL) offers a framework for designing courses and activities that fully enables all students, regardless of ability, to engage substantively in their learning and demonstrate their knowledge. Faculty, staff, and graduate students from all disciplines and areas of the university are invited to participate in this conversation series addressing these issues. You can join us for one specific conversation or sign up for multiple sessions. The 15 participants who attend the most conversations will receive 2 books on Students with Disabilities in Higher Education and Universal Design for Learning in Higher Education (a lottery will be used in case of a tie). Breakfast is included.
